1/25 patient noticed area of injection site was red, itchy and raised. 1/26 patient described injection site as red, hard, hot to the touch with a white line growing around the edge. Later on 1/26 patient went to Walk-in clinic and was told it did not look like cellulitis but suspected infection. An antibiotic was sent over on Monday and picked up by patient who then reported incident. She reported that 1/27 the injection site had flattened out but was still red and warm to the touch. With improvement she was considering not to pick up doxycycline that was prescribed but she decided to pick up and start administration.
